Minjie Su holds a DPhil in English from the University of Oxford and her thesis, entitled Werewolves in Old Norse-Icelandic Literature: Between the Monster and the Man, has been published as a monography. Since the completion of her studies in 2020, she has worked as a Humboldt fellow in Goethe University Frankfurt and extended her research interest to the reception and re-imaging of medieval literature in Japanese manga. Her current project, funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, investigates she-wolf figures in medieval Icelandic literature through a combination of superhero/pop culture scholarship, humanistic geography, and ecocriticism.
