Vicky Leech Mateos is a Publishing Director at Bloomsbury Publishing, building a list of speculative fiction across Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Folklore, Mythology and Magical Realism - and founding the publishing house's first SFF imprint. A Bookseller Rising Star in 2022, Vicky has published over twenty Sunday Times bestsellers, and prior to joining Bloomsbury shepherded HarperVoyager on to win Imprint of the Year in 2023 as Editorial Director.
Believing every story can be improved with a little magic, Vicky's aim is to welcome new readers to the genre and publish the very best, boundary-pushing speculative fiction.
